St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church -
Pueblo West, Colorado
Description: Placed on a large site in a neighborhood subdivision in sprawling Pueblo West, St. Paul the Apostle was built to meet the growing Catholic population. JP Architecture took over Architectural control after the Parish parted ways with the previous architect. JP Architecture redid working drawings and worked with a new structural engineer and gave the building a religious look. The new 17,500 sq. ft. building consists of a 350 seat Sanctuary adorned with a 17 foot tall piece of granite supporting the Crucifix. Windows surround the Sanctuary and will be filled out with stained glass in the future. Stained glass was brought from the Parish's original building and placed next to the Altar to connect the old and new buildings. The Day Chapel seats 80 people and is used as a children's area for Sunday services and has new stained glass by Adducci Studio of Denver.
